CTAH International Airport, a planned, privately-owned and operated “green” airport on 2,605 acres, will serve the large and growing needs of the Central Texas market for larger business, private and charter aircraft. This controlled, state-of-the-art airport will be the only airport in Central Texas, other than Austin Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA), to meet all FAA and commercial aircraft insurance requirements necessary and is purposely planned to significantly reduce the area aviation gridlock, and will provide vital expansion of air transportation capacity, aviation safety-related facilities, and aviation-related maintenance and repair services. CTAH is a major, comprehensive, and compelling business-investment, integrating the airport and a to-be-built technology Center designed to meet or exceed all potential business locations within Central Texas by merging a strategically located business campus with a private international airport – together providing tenants with highly desirable goods, services, and benefits not available elsewhere in the region CTAH is a planned, shovel-ready, “proof of concept” project for leading-edge global technologies and will break ground within 180-210 days of funding. CTAH is requesting $890 million in the form of equity and/or debt for this highly needed and anticipated project with sponsors having contributed $127M in equity for the project to date.
